Keith Taylor - Class of '72 - Elected Mayor of Combine, TX on May 13th

BA '72 graduate Keith Taylor moved to Combine in April of 2005. Having decided to attend City Council meetings to see what was going on with this small community of approximately 2,000, he began to get more involved with the City and the Citizens of Combine. During 2005, the previous Mayor had resigned and an interim Mayor appointed to serve until the May elections. In this time, many of the Citizens had requested that he consider running for the position as some of the ideas he had about the City were being well received.
He then decided to run for Mayor in February and filed the appropriate forms with the City. The campaign was challenging and the race was very close. The final vote tally was 246 for Keith and 221 for his opponent.
Keith was sworn in on May 19th and has assumed the position of Mayor for the remainder of this term.
