"Pastor Dan Tarno's Death . . .

. . . has been greatly exaggerated. I just got the Fall newsletter, and was shocked to see that Danny had died on May 10th. So was he, at least that’s what he told me when I called him this afternoon. He swore to me that he’s alive and well and still pastoring in Canton. Could you please post a correction on the website, and correct it in the next newsletter. Thanks. Ted Steinke, class of 1969."

Thanks for letting us know Ted - I recognized the name since I hear from Dan occassionally since we are in the same town and had not had a chance to check it out because of all the things going on with the influx of people from Louisiana.  Yesterday the ministerial alliance met and most of our church groups here have jumped in to help feed and clothe many of these people - I'm sure he is there in the thick of it!

Pastor Dan Tarno is pleased to announce that I went back to the newspaper archives for the month of May and was thrilled to find out that I was NOT listed in the obituaries nor have I been sick.  It is true that many of us preachers do often look like we are "deathly ill" but that just comes with being in the ministry.  And, yes, Lorri, we have been involved with helping the evacuees who have arrived in Van Zandt County. In fact we have some staying at our church at this time........
Just wanted to tell everyone that Dan Tarno is NOT dead..........YET..........And Thank you Ted for catching this!!. Roll Eyes
