We have been without power since Monday, the day of the storm, and are thus hot.  Otherwise, we have minor damage (as such things go).  It is cooler outside, but then  that is where the 6 large downed oaks are that need cutting and removal.  We are hopeful of seeing some power soon, besides the generator, but were told yesterday (again) that it m ay be another 4 weeks before the entire parish is back up.  We do not expect to be out that long.  And at least the electric bill will be down for this month.  Insurance should cover us and the execise is probably helping my health, so all is well.  And we never lost water and sewer, which makes us well ahead.

Send A/C.  I known when I lived in Dallas & then Ft Worth, I did not keep up with hurricanes.  Therefore, I am guessing that most who will see this message do not know that there have been 3 named Atlantic storms since Katrina.  None has hit the US or is expected to, but it has been a busy season with a couple of months to go.
